Affordable Learning initiatives at Fletcher Technical Community College promote and expose open education resources (OER) and low-cost solutions to increase student access to affordable learning materials and support students’ success. Faculty and staff collaboratively work together to maintain high standards of excellence, and a diverse curriculum to provide our students with personalized instruction and service. Through the Affordable Learning LOUISiana initiative, LOUIS partners with libraries and faculty to save students money on education by reducing the costs of instructional materials through the use of eTextbooks, Open Educational Resources (OER), and other open access materials. This also ensures that students have equitable access to course materials on the first day of class.
